Ski For Life is a membership club run by Mr Sven Putnis and Louise (Lou) Pode. The club is operated by [legal entity to confirm], [registered address to confirm]. We are the data controller for the information you give us. ICO registration: [ICO registration number to confirm].
Your name, email, password (encrypted), payment details (processed by Stripe — we never store your card), your next trip date, the sessions you have watched, and any questions you send. If you join through Sven Ski Clinic Trip Protection, we receive your name and cover dates from the clinic.
If you send an enquiry (the contact form or the partner pack request for ski companies) we keep what you write, your name, your email and, for companies, your company details.
The skier profile is optional. It can include information about past injuries and operations, which is health data — a special category of personal data under UK GDPR. We only collect it with your explicit consent, given in the profile form. Answers are anonymised before anyone analyses them for research, and they are kept apart from your payment details. You can change or delete your answers, or withdraw your consent, at any time from your account.
To run your membership, personalise your build and countdown, send the monthly letter and answer questions. Our lawful basis is the contract with you, and consent for the letter if you are not a member. We use your skier profile for the club’s ski-injury research only with your explicit consent. We reply to enquiries because we have a legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
Stripe (payments), our email provider (the letter and account emails), our website host, our video host, and Sven Ski Clinic where your membership comes with Trip Protection. Never sold, never for marketing lists. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum. [List of providers and transfer safeguards to confirm.]
For as long as you are a member and for 24 months after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Enquiry data is deleted after 24 months. Payment records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires.
Access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@skiforlife.co.uk [to confirm]. You may complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
The club is for adults. You must be 18 or over to join.
